Fiveable Courses FAQ

More questions? Use the chat box 💬↘️

  • How hard will this class be and what can students expect from the workload?

As with any course, YOU make the course easy/moderate/difficult. AP Physics 1 is a course that does involve a lot of practice. Stay up with the work, ASK QUESTIONS, and make connections with other students and you can do this!

  • Does this course include online tutoring?

There's 1-on-1 support from TAs, essay & writing help from exam readers, and a 24/7 live chat community for peer-to-peer tutoring.

  • How much does it cost to take AP Physics 1 online?

Each 15-week course covers the entire curriculum and costs $55.

  • What advice do you have for homeschool and self study students?

Make sure you understand the material you are studying . . . don't just "go through the motions" to finish a topic/unit/assignment. The test will see if you can explain content through SKILLS! That means the skills you develop are the MOST IMPORTANT thing to learn! Knowing your content is also important so you can use the skills :)

  • How experienced is the teacher with teaching AP Physics 1?

"I've been teaching physics for 26 years and have grown to understand the best way to LEARN physics is to DO physics! I completed Modeling Physics training years ago and love the method of watching students create models that they use throughout the course to best understand physics!"

  • Have they taught remote learning and online classes?

I absolutely LOVE the remote learning (live sessions) and online classes. In both cases, I feel that students who have made the choice of coming to live sessions and online classes are self-motivated and know how to learn!

  • Is Fiveable good for physics classes?

For 3 years in a row, Fiveable students have reported a pass rate of over 90% on their exams.
