  • What advice do you have for homeschool and self study students?

Homeschool and self study are great options for a lot of students. My biggest piece of advice is to stay on track and continuously check in with your final goal. Make a plan/schedule and be disciplined enough to stick with it. Check in on your plan at least once a week to make sure you stay on track. Also, don't forget that we're here to help. You are not in this alone, so make sure to reach out if you need help with content or even study skills.

  • For students who haven't decided whether taking this course online is worth it, what would you say to them?

Economics is by far the most useful class a student takes in high school as it has a general focus on decision making. Aside from helping students learn to make well thought out decisions, understanding AP Macroeconomics is crucial to making sense of the economic struggles we find ourselves in currently as a country. The curriculum is also necessary foundational information for careers in banking/finance and general business.

  • How hard will this class be and what can students expect from the workload?

This course is all about quality over quantity. We will focus on what you need to not only understand Macroeconomics, but to be successful on the AP Exam. There will be no unnecessary activities, because everything serves a purpose. Students should expect to spend 3-5 hours outside of our class time on reading/work each week.
